You will come out of this apprenticeship embodying ceremony itself.
Ceremony is not a performance, it is a living prayer. In these fifteen weeks you will learn to weave your own energy and intention into every ritual, until you become the ceremony — a bridge between seen and unseen, earth and sky, heart and spirit.

What is a Sacred Medicine Mayan Cacao Ceremony?
Hello family and welcome to the Sacred Medicine of Mayan Cacao Ceremonialist Apprenticeship.
I feel HONOURED to be your guide and mentor on this journey.
​
Working with the medicine of Cacao in a ceremony, we take on a deep shamanic journey. I have developed this training as a very unique modality that has evolved and manifested into the physical world. I bring my personal experience working in Ceremonies and having been apprenticed into working with ancestral Mayan medicines in the Lake Atitlan and Sacred Mountains of Guatemala.

I have held cacao ceremonies for several years, but an incredible shift happened when I studied in the sacred mayan lands in Guatemala.
There I learned to live in a Mayan way and host true traditional Mayan Cacao Ceremonies. I followed the clear guidance that I received in the ceremonies with my teacher ‘Tata Walter’.
The vision for this apprenticeship arose as a whisper from Cacao Spirit - a call to weave a Ceremonialist Training that honours the ancient Mayan lineage and the worlds it bridges. This programme is not only a training but a sacred passage: an invitation to journey deeply with the Spirit of Cacao, to walk through the seen and unseen realms, and to learn the ways of holding ceremony with reverence, integrity, and love.
Rooted in the living wisdom of the Mayan tradition, this apprenticeship guides you into an embodied relationship with Cacao as a sacred teacher and yourself. It supports you in remembering and carrying her medicine so you may share it ethically and tenderly with your communities, while walking in reciprocity with the lineage from which it flows.
For all who feel the call, this online pathway opens the doorway to study, integrate, and transmit the heart-medicine of Cacao - carrying forward her ancient message of connection, balance, and love.
To become a ceremonialist takes consistent practice and a deep connection, which can take a long period of time. Through my deep connections with Tata Walter and during one of our meetings in Ibiza, I received the message that I had to share my learnings with the world, and so was born the Sacred Medicine MATYOX-MAYAN CACAO CEREMONIALIST APPRENTICESHIP.

With the blessing of my teacher, Walter, and with permission to share elements of the lineage into which I was initiated at Lake Atitlán, I carry this work with deep reverence. It is an honour and a responsibility to hold these teachings in my heart and to pass them forward in a way that respects their origin.

From this place of gratitude and reciprocity, I am humbled to support others on their own sacred journeys — guiding them as they awaken their own relationship with Cacao, walk the Mayan path, and grow into unique facilitators and ceremonialists rooted in authenticity, respect, and love.

The ancient plant medicine of Cacao has been used for thousands of years to open the heart and connect to Spirit, offering guidance from within, bridging the ancient memory. Through this passage, you will walk in union with the Spirit of Cacao, becoming a ceremonial facilitator who bridges the underworld, the middle world, and the overworld — the realms of transformation, presence, and vision.

This apprenticeship is a deep dive into yourself through Ancient Mayan lineage and Mayan Cosmovision. This is the essence of a cacao ceremonialist.
We learn Sacred tools and rituals, and receive profound wisdom to help us see beyond the veil, so we are able to truly listen, connect, heal and be guided as to how we can be in best service to our communities.​

When we learn the power of Ceremony, we remember that we are masters of living energy.
By the end of this apprenticeship you will be able to confidently facilitate your own Mayan Cacao Ceremonies and weave this way of facilitation to any healer modality you are working with or will be working in a future.

This programme is foundational to this particular lineage - but it is not basic. The work you will be doing is very deep and will require you to put your energy and commitment into it. One of the things that makes me happiest about this apprenticeship is that I have an opportunity to introduce you to my teacher of Mayan cosmovision from the sacred Lake Atitlan.
I have spent years learning and embodying the ancient Mayan medicine of ceremony and cosmovision.
At the beginning of 2023, as I was preparing to return to Lake Atitlán and reconnect with my Mayan family, I received a powerful vision — a deep calling to dedicate myself to sharing the medicine of cacao in its purest, most authentic way.

This vision was not only about offering trainings, but also about honoring the elders, teachers, and communities who have entrusted me with this wisdom.
Through this path, I am able to give back to my Mayan family and support their communities, as a way of gratitude for all that I have received.

It feels so beautiful to carry this medicine forward and now share it with you, my loves.
Tata Walter Quiacain is my first teacher introducing and teaching me how to live with Mayan Cosmology. I love him deeply and forefeet grateful for his teachings and all he is. He is a Mayan Spiritual Guide, Ceremonialist, and Mayan Cosmovisionist.
Walter is from one of the Kaqchikel indigenous tribe local at the Sacred Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Lake Atitlan is one of
the most Sacred places in the world. People come to the lake to heal their soul, to connect with native Mayan tribes so
they can have deep healing.

Tata Walter was initiated by his ancestors to work with the sacred calendar, the 4 elements, and the ancient medicine of cacao.
Living his life connected to Mayan Sacred Calendar Cholq'Ij and the 20 sacred energies, Nawales - Walter has developed
incredible connection to the three words and became a highly respected Mayan Spiritual leader not only in the Sacred
lands of Lake Atitlan but also in Europe.

cosmovision and drink Cacao. The traditions and connection to the medicine were kept, but unfortunately some were
lost. Walter strongly believes that now it's the time to share the Sacred teachings with the world from a widely open heart
and help to raise the consciousness of Planet Earth.

powerful apprenticeship. My teacher has offered to share his wisdom because he believes in what I am sharing with you,

OUR APPRENTICESHIP JOURNEY
The training is over a 3,5 month journey with live calls and live Ceremonies each week.

Spiritual Mentor and Ceremonialist
I feel deeply blessed to walk this path of service, guided by Mayan elders and the living traditions of Guatemala, and woven with the wisdom of my own spiritual journey. My time in San Marcos, Lake Atitlán, and Totonicapán, studying with my teacher Tata Walter and other Mayan Tatas and Nanas, has transformed my life and continues to guide my work with cacao, Mayan cosmology, and ancestral ways of healing.

I am humbled to serve as a bridge of ancestral wisdom — carrying forward the teachings I have been entrusted with, while listening deeply to the whispers of the Earth, the elements, and Spirit. My prayer is to create spaces where we remember that we are already whole, abundant, and full of love.
